U incidentu na aerodromu Malakal u Južnom Sudanu, Safe Air Boeing 727-200F izleteo je sa piste tokom sletanja, što je rezultiralo oštećenjem njegovog donjeg trupa.

Avion se nakon toga sudario sa stacionarnim McDonnell Douglas MD-80 koji je pripadao African Express Airways-u i razbio se na dva dela pre nego što se zaustavio.
Treba napomenuti da je McDonnell Douglas MD-80 uključen u ovaj incident, ranije bio uključen u još jednu nesreću pri slijetanju 9. februara 2024. na aerodromu Malakal:
